Maui Health Foundation Provides Mammograms to Maui Women in Need

Maui Health Foundation has officially launched its October breast cancer awareness campaign and annual fundraiser, Kokua For A Cause, which helps provide screening mammograms to women on Maui who are uninsured or underinsured and unable to afford the potentially life-saving exam.


Maui Memorial Medical Center Hosts Alzheimer’s Association Support Groups

If you or a loved one is suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease or related Dementia, attending a support group can help create a safe, confidential environment to build support systems and share experiences.  The meetings will also provide educational materials and resources, in addition to helping you develop coping mechanisms, and learn from people who are in the same situation as they are.

 


Maui Health System Hosts Annual Stroke Awareness Community Health Fair

Maui Health System is excited to announce the annual Stroke Awareness Event – a community health fair celebrating National Stroke Awareness Month – on Thursday, May 2, from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at Maui Memorial Medical Center. The event is free and open to the public and will include informational booths with hands-on activities, entertainment by Na Hoku Hanohano Award winner Cody Pueo Pata, food and refreshments, photo booth, prizes and more. Special guest speakers from the Maui medical community will lend their expertise, discussing topics around the event theme, “Stroke: Preventable, Treatable, Beatable.”
