The Keiki Way – Showing Us What the Holidays Are Really About

Truly an amazing thing to witness! This 7-year-old student, who instead of thinking about gifts for herself, cared more about making sure hospital patients felt loved this holiday season. Sophie, with the help of her mom Chanda, and Maui East Manager Mario and his team, delivered handwritten notes with gifts of warm, fuzzy socks, to patients this week. Patients were so thankful, and what made the moments even sweeter was the joy in Sophie’s eyes as she visited each one. Let’s use this to remind ourselves of what the holidays should really be about – less hustle and bustle, and more compassion and giving.
