Maui Health System is excited to announce the 3rd Annual Diabetes Day – a community health fair to celebrate World Diabetes Day – on Tuesday, November 14, 2017, from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at Maui Memorial Medical Center. The event will include informational booths, entertainment, prizes and feature guest speakers from the Maui medical community lending their expertise on diabetes prevention and management.

When Maui Health System assumed operation of the state hospital in July, we continued a prior practice of charging families requesting a private postpartum room.  Effective November 1, 2017, we will no longer collect fees for a private room. All patients will be given a private room if one is available when admitted.

Maui Health System is excited to announce the appointment of Kimberly Fuson as the new Senior Director of Long Term Care and Critical Access for Kula Hospital and Lanaʻi Community Hospital. She brings to Maui over two decades of healthcare experience, specifically working with senior housing and human service organizations. 

Tara Cole has joined Maui Health System as Human Resources Director. Cole brings nearly 20 years of recruitment, payroll, benefits and labor relations experience to Maui.

Maui Health System today announced that Michael Rembis, FACHE, has been named CEO and Hospital Administrator. Michael brings more than 35 years of community hospital leadership and hospital operations experience to Maui. He will assume his duties at Maui Health System on August 21^st.
