Maui Health System Names Inaugural Board of Directors

WAILUKU, July 12, 2017 — Maui Health System announced the nine directors of its inaugural board. Honoring its mission to provide care for all on Maui and Lanai, the board represents a balance of community members and healthcare leaders and will oversee the quality of patient care, the organization’s financial health, and support the organization’s mission.


First Maui Health System Baby Born

On July 1 at 1:37 a.m., Kaizen Cababat was born at Maui Memorial Medical Center making him the first Maui Health System baby.


Maui Health System Assumes Operation Of Maui County Community Hospitals In Historic State Endeavor

Maui Memorial Medical Center, Kula Hospital, and Lanai Community Hospital officially transferred operations from state provider Hawaii Health System Corporation to Maui Health System today. The historic transfer was commemorated by staff and leadership in a private blessing ceremony at each of the three community hospital facilities.

Maui Health System today announced its leadership team. These leaders represent a balance of local expertise and deep hospital experience and will lead Maui Memorial Medical Center, Kula Hospital, and Lanai Community Hospital when operations officially transfer to Maui Health System on July 1, 2017.

Kaiser Permanente Announces New Leadership for Maui Health System / Pacific Permanente Group

Kaiser Permanente today announced the new leadership for Maui Health System, a Kaiser Foundation Hospitals LLC, and Pacific Permanente Group LLC. Ray Hahn is appointed senior vice president and area manager, Hawaii Region, which includes hospital administrator; and David Ulin, MD, is the associate medical director, operations, Pacific Permanente Group (“PPG”) and chief medical director of the Maui Health System’s Kula Hospital & Clinic, Lanai Community Hospital and Maui Memorial Medical Center.
