Billing Information
For questions about your hospital bill, please contact Patient Financial Services at 808-868-5281 or 888-418-6901.
Maui Memorial Medical Center will bill your health plan carrier(s) according to the information provided at registration. You’ll be asked to present your current health plan coverage cards and to pay all copays, deductibles, coinsurance, and fees for noncovered services when registering and checking in for services.
Health plan coverage
Please be aware your health plan may have special requirements such as precertification/authorization for certain tests or procedures or limitations on the services covered. Also, some physician specialists may not participate in your health care plan. Please check your health plan to determine if a provider is participating. If your plan’s requirements are not followed, you may be financially responsible for all or part of the services rendered in the hospital.
Workers’ compensation
If you require medical attention as a result of a work-related injury, please notify registration staff at the time of service. You will be asked to provide detailed information, including the full name and contact information of your employer, date and time of injury, applicable insurance information, and any incident/claim numbers.
Veterans Affairs (VA) Healthcare Benefits
If you are registered with the local Veterans Affairs Office, please present your VA identification card at the time of service. If you are a veteran but not registered with the local Veterans Affairs office, please notify a registration staff member at the time of service for potential eligibility and enrollment.
Payment Options
We gladly accept the following payment methods: cash, personal check, money order, and most major credit cards. Other payment options may be available upon request through our financial specialists.
Financial Counseling
Financial specialists are available to assist all patients with payment obligation or account-related questions. Patients with no health care coverage, significant medical bills, and/or limited financial resources may be referred to one of these specialists. They offer complimentary eligibility screening and application assistance for a variety of government and nongovernment assistance programs, including Maui Memorial Medical Center–sponsored assistance programs.
Doctor Bills
In addition to your hospital bill, you may receive bills for professional services rendered by doctors in diagnosing and treating you while you were a patient. If you have certain tests or treatments in the hospital, you may receive bills from doctors you did not see in person. Often pathologists, radiologists, cardiologists, anesthesiologists, and other specialists perform these services and may bill separately. If you have questions about these bills, please call the number printed on the statement you receive from these doctors.

Chaplaincy Program
Our Chaplaincy Program provides spiritual services and support to patients and their families, as well as to Maui Memorial Medical Center staff.
The chapel, located on the first floor of the Wailuku Tower, includes symbols from multiple faith traditions and is open to everyone.
Maui Memorial Medical Center has a labyrinth that is located in the courtyard of the Wailuku Tower. A replica of the Chartres Cathedral Labyrinth in France, its path of spiritual renewal provides a full-body prayer for releasing stress, receiving comfort, seeking resolution or acceptance, and experiencing peace. We invite you to experience its serenity.
You may contact the Chaplaincy Office at 808-442-5560.
